Producing fair, sustainable and mostly local meat
Van Rooi produces fair and affordable meat that mostly originates from local farms. Therefore the origin of the meat is transparent and sustainable.
In the ‘Farm to Fork’-spirit, Van Rooi strives to unburden the environment, to decrease transportation and to advance usage of fresh and healthy nutritional products.
Managing the chain
Chain management is a crucial condition when pursuing this ambition. By this we mean managing the chain by connecting suppliers, which include local cattle and pig farmers, to customers. In this way, we match supply with demand. Van Rooi gladly takes up this management position without losing sight of the wellbeing of humans, animals, and the environment. Additionally, we aim for a fair reward for all links of the chain, including our pig farmers.
